Dealing with Post-Surgery Scars and Sex
Q: I recently underwent breast reduction surgery and my scars are still healing. As luck would have it, I just met an amazing man and am terrified for him to see me undressed. How can I get over the fear and trust that he will not be scared off by my scars?
Honestly, the bottom line here is that the fear and trust you mentioned have more to do with you at a deep level than with any guy you date. By this I mean if you love who you are and how you look with your new breasts and all, you will exude genuine confidence and pride and are more likely to send out a positive vibe and expectation which will be returned.
Take the time to talk with your new man about your fears and why you had the surgery, before you get undressed, so it softens the surprise. You say he is an amazing person, so I think you have less to worry about than you believe. If he truly cares for you, all of you, then a few scars are not going to scare him away. Be real with him. But if he runs, let him go. You will find someone who appreciates you.
