Eat Chocolate, Wine Tasting and Museum Visits. No Wonder Twanna has fallen in love with single living!

Q: Best solo activity?
A long, warm bubble bath after a tiring day spent working full-time, writing articles and hanging out with friends.
Q: Biggest Accomplishment?
My career. Although I don't have a partner, I wouldn't say I've achieved it on my own. The support of my family, friends, lovers, mentors and so many others has been crucial to my success.
Q: Your Perfect Spot?
Living in New York City, my senses are constantly stimulated by loud sounds, weird smells and crowds of people. My perfect spot is Central Park. I feel so peaceful when I take a long nap on a patch of green grass on a sunny day. Solitude is a virtue.
Q: Most Inspiring Book?
An Autobiography : The Story of My Experiments With Truth by Mahatma Ghandi
Q: Safety Starts With:
Trusting your instincts.
Q: Best Restaurant?
I'd have to say MoMA is the winner! I love checking out their exhibitions, sipping wine in the upstairs cafe and poking around their outdoor sculpture garden.
Q: Best Just For One Product?
My laptop. I can't live without it, and I couldn't imagine sharing it with anyone.
Q: Words to Live By?
Follow your dreams and be true to yourself. Everything else will fall into place.
Q: How Do You Beat The Blues?
Eat chocolate. It stimulates your body's production of happy hormones, endorphins.
Q: What You Love About Being Single?
When I'm single, I reflect on building my life. I ask myself questions like, "Where do I want to be five years from now, and what can I do today to help me get there?" When I'm dating, I'm more likely to ask my partner, "What should we do this weekend?" I'm not sure why, but I vacillate between building my long term life on my own or having fun with short term plans with a partner. That says more about me in relationships than it does about dating in general. But, it's definitely a recent observation about my life.
Q: Words of Wisdom for Others:
My advice to single people? Take time to enjoy life's journeys -- especially the off ramps, detours and unexpected scenic routes. Whenever I fall on difficult times -- as we all do -- my friend Jodi reminds me that I'm only responsible for myself. It's truly a gift to have the ability to live my life as I choose and pursue independent desires without worrying about others' schedules or timetables. I've been unemployed, rejected by men I adored, accused of being selfish and immature by married friends and fallen on my face more than once. Yet, I also lived in Europe, learned to paint in the Midwest, took glass bottom boat tours in Florida and sipped cocktails while overlooking the big blue waters of Barbados. Life has been good. I weather the ups and downs with the help of people I love.
