Q: I am 24 years old. I consider myself attractive and confident in most areas, yet I havent had an actual boyfriend. How can I get past my insecurity and inexperience so that I can open myself up to the possibility of a relationship?

The best way to get past your insecurity and inexperience is just to get started. By that I mean, assess your skills and hobbies and join an activity (sports, volunteering, social) where you can fully enjoy yourself while you participate. Choose something that attracts other people your age and immerse yourself in the process. By thinking of the good you are doing or the fun you are having, you are less likely to worry about getting a date and more likely to realize that you and the nice guy next to you have some interests in common. Relax, have fun and ease into the possibility of a relationship by having a friendship first.
