Networking Groups for Guys

Q: There appears to be so many professional networking groups for women but I cannot seem to find any local groups for men. Can you please point me in the right direction?

Without knowing exactly what you're looking for when it comes to networking with men I suggest a little online research. Short of simply googling "men's networking groups" I'd focus on affinity groups that offer what you are seeking. For example, think of the kinds of people (besides being male) with whom you wish to network, e.g. marketers in new media, small business owners, sales professionals in healthcare. I'd then do an online search looking for associations and groups of these types of professionals that host events you can attend. Online networking sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, etcetera can be a great place to find individuals to network with and in some cases groups to join. Check with your alumni office and see if your school hosts local meetings and events. And finally ask your friends and colleagues. They may be a part of groups that you were not aware of.
