No Interest In Porn: Is it A Problem?

Q: I have never been into porn which as a man many women think is unusual. How can I ease myself into it and learn how to enjoy it with the women I date?

 

 

 

I wouldn't worry so much about not using porn if you have a strong, sexual appetite and are turned on, age-appropriately, with psychic (fantasy) and physical stimulation.  Worrying itself can be disruptive to the sexual process so use what works for you (you didn't report that you have a sexual problem).

However, if you want to add porn to your repetoire of turn-ons, practice when you are alone.  Become comfortable watching x-rated movies and looking at magazines while you stimulate yourself in the privacy of your home.  Without the pressure of someone else's presence, you can slowly give yourself permission to pair pleasure with porn- but do it for yourself, thinking positively that there's something in it for you- not negatively that you're odd and believe women think it is unusual that you haven't used it before.

Once you get use to the idea of watching porn by yourself, you will be more able to introduce this behavior with your partner.  Normalize it for yourself and you should have little anxiety when enjoying it with a woman who also thinks porn with a partner is a turn-on.
