No Mojo When it Comes to Dating

Q: I'm 30 and I no longer have any interest in dating, relationships, or sex. No interest on either a rational or a visceral level. People either do not believe me, say there is something wrong with me, or say I have sour grapes or low self esteem or something. Is this lack of interest really that odd? Why do I have to be interested in romantic relationships?

There is no rule saying everyone must be interested in a romantic relationship but you convey you "no longer" have any interest in dating, relationships or sex so it makes me wonder what caused the change in your thinking? It also sounds like you are heavily invested in the opinions of other people. I hope you experience happiness and satisfaction through friends and work. Perhaps you might want to explore in therapy what is best for you regarding relationships so you can make your own decision at this point in life.
