Q: Where are you from?
I'm originally from Kennebunkport, Maine and now live in beautiful Northeast Ohio.

Q: What’s the biggest accomplishment you achieved on your own?
When I discovered Afformations and Success Anorexia in 1997, and wrote the first book about them in two weeks. It was a good year for discoveries :)

Q: What inspired you to write your book, The Secret Code of Success?

Millions of smart, creative, motivated people are driving down the road of life with one foot on the brake. Traditional success programs have shown us the "how-to's" of success. But the reason so many people hold themselves back from success has nothing to do with "how-to's".

The problem is, you can know how to do something, but never let yourself do it!

That's why I wrote The Secret Code of Success - because you don't need any more "how-to's" to get your foot off the brake. You need to give yourself permission to succeed. And you do that by following the 7 steps that wealthy, happy people (who I call The Three Percenters) are unconsciously doing.

Q: You have developed your own methodology to help individuals achieve greater success. Can you tell us a little bit more about it?
If you want to try an experiment, take out a piece of paper and draw a line down the middle. On the left side, write "My Why-To's of Success" and on the right "My Why-Not-To's of Success."

Under Why-To's, write why you want to succeed. These should be obvious: "I want more money, more freedom, more security, more time with family, my own island in the Caribbean."

Then, under Why-Not-To's, write what you might LOSE when you let yourself succeed.

For example, many women write that they're afraid to let themselves succeed because they're subconsciously afraid their spouse or friends might be jealous of them! Many of my clients also say that they don't want the extra responsibility or fear they might lose it. But remember, none of these Why-Not-To's are conscious: no one wakes up in the morning and says, "I think I'll hold myself back from success today."

Realize that there's a massive, fundamental difference between "how to succeed" and how to LET YOURSELF succeed. The Secret Code of Success is not about giving you more "how-to's" because you already know them.

Instead, The Code shows you how to LET YOURSELF succeed to your full potential and get rid of the head trash that's been holding you back. That's why so many people double their income, lose 20 pounds, or find the love of their lives after taking these steps.

Q: What do you think is the biggest roadblock for singles when it comes to personal achievement?
The head trash I just talked about. Many singles are unconsciously asking themselves disempowering questions like, "Why am I always alone? Why are all the good ones taken? Why do they never call me back?" Then wondering why they're not getting what they want!

When you learn how to use Afformations (see below) along with all the other Steps of the Code, many singles have not only found the love of their lives, but also found peace and confidence in themselves.

Q: You have coined the term “afformations.” What does it mean and how can this practice help people?
Afformations are empowering questions that immediately change your subconscious thought patterns from negative to positive.

For example, if you're unconsciously asking, "Why are all the good ones taken?" you're going to create that reality without realizing why.

With Afformations, you can change that to, "Why am I always in the right place at the right time?" or "Why did I find the love of my life so easily?"

Then follow the 4 Steps of Afformations to make that your new reality. Afformations are the first Step of the Code because they change your perspective and your assumptions about life and your relationship to it.

That's why many people say The Secret Code of Success is where the Inner Game meets the Outer Game of success and relationships.

Q: How can these principles be applied to help people date more effectively?
Easily! First, start using Afformations to create a healthier Inner Game:

Why am I so happy?
Why am I so confident?
Why am I so sexy?
Why am I good enough just as I am?

That last one may be the most important, because many singles are told through the media and well-meaning friends that they're not "good enough" without a significant other.

Second, find a Loving Mirror - someone who supports you through good times and bad. You can find hundreds of like-minded people on the Living the Code online community (our version of Facebook) at http://NoahCode.com

Third, install your Systems of Support. These are the People, Activities, Environment, Introspection and Simplify Systems that all successful people (and businesses) have installed, either consciously or by accident.

Focus on your People System by acknowledging the people in your life, asking for what you really want, and afforming why you can have it.

Focus on what you have instead of what you lack, and what you have will grow every day.

Q: You seem to have a group of individuals who are “living the code.” What does that entail?

At http://NoahCode.com , you can find our online Living the Code community where like-minded people from around the world give each other support as they go through the Steps.

Having accountability is vital to your success, because no one can get there alone. Every Three Percenter has support, whether they installed it on purpose or not. And you can have it too, but you do have to reach out and get it.

That's why we've made it easy for people of all backgrounds to come together in a spirit of harmony to raise the consciousness of the Earth. That's the mission of SuccessClinic.com  and the reason we do what we do.
