Q: I find that I get involved with women who have horrible spending habits. I am trying to be proactive and was hoping you could tell me the types of money questions I should be asking women so that I can avoid financial woes later on?

Hmmm... How do you ask these questions without seeming too intrusive? An easy one is "Do you carry any credit card debt" or "Do you have a savings account"? However, those can be akin to "How much income do you earn?"

Perhaps a gentler approach is asking them if they are tech savvy and take advantage of online banking? Or have they ventured into the new online world of savvy online budget sites such as mint.com or wesabe.com? It will give you a clearer picture of their financial savvy and regular money habits.
