Problems with the Pill

Q: I have been using the pill as birth control for more than 13 years and am worried that it will affect my chance of getting pregnant, assuming I ever meet someone. I am currently 39, is this a risk?

No. Studies show that oral contraceptives have no long-term effect on fertility. You should be aware that there may be a month or two delay before normal ovulation resume. The ovary may at first ovulate early or late in the cycle for first few months. The duration of contraceptive use does not seem to make a big difference either.
