Silence is Golden in Hollywood
| They're at it again. Incredibly, they somehow dragged Jennifer Aniston into the Spitzer scandal. And while the sources are as unreliable as former NJ Governor McGreevy's ex-wife's sworn statements, those spoofy political sites are claiming that the randy now ex- NY Governor propositioned the forever friend due to her uncanny resemblance to his wife of more than twenty years. | ![]() |
You have to wonder why there continues to be a pity party for Jen when other holiday starlets and stars are celebrated for their independence. In fact, just last month a doe eyed Natalie Portman declared she "will never marry," and it was interpreted as a statement of empowerment.
Age might be a factor, Aniston does have more than a decade on Portman-- but more likely it has to do with how she chooses to remain silent in an industry where others rely heavily on their publicity machines to retaliate.
Clearly for the talented and beautiful Aniston there simply is no need for excuses. She was listed by Forbes Magazine as the 10th richest woman in Hollywood and was the top selling celebrity face in 2007. She started out and continues to be one of the rare female celebrities that men want and women adore, and was quick to find out from a failed marriage to Brad that a lost puppy is better for a pet than a husband. If there is anything to report on Miss Aniston's personal life it is that courage is a lot stronger than fear, and silence can be golden. Married or unmarried, male or female, we could all use some of the vitamin water Jen's been sipping.
