Q: Most Inspiring Book?

As a compulsive reader, I simply can't choose one book. Suffice it to say, books change my life on a regular basis.

I enjoy being responsible for myself and to myself. The excitement of new possibilities and new romance.

The desire to achieve my own dreams overcame my fear of failure and financial insecurity.

Q: Any words of advice for those seeking career independence?

Success is all about determination and timing. Decide if the time is right to strike out on your own and don't hesitate if the moment is right.

Q: How do you make time for kids, work and yourself?

I made a conscious decision several years ago to work fewer hours and spend more time with my children, understanding that my income would be affected. It's been worth it.

Q: What calms you down when the kids are acting out?

The knowledge that I'm an adult with enough self control to weather any temper tantrum without responding in kind.

Q: You travel a lot with your boys. Can you name a few great getaways for single parents and kids?

My kids love Beaches resorts. We ski in Utah at Deer Valley and Snowbird. Recently we've taken several rafting/camping trips in Idaho and Montana with O.A.R.S. We enjoy horseback riding at the 7 Lazy P ranch in the Bob Marshall Wilderness area in Montana as well.

Q: Other words of advice?

Life is a single term engagement. Enjoy it!
