The Singles Scene in Spain

Q: I am planning a spring getaway with 2 of my girlfriends to Spain. We were wondering if you could tell us which has a better social scene for singles: The Northern region with towns like Rioja and San Sebastian or the Southern region, particularly Costa Del Sol (Marbella) and Seville.

I love Spain - all of Spain! Both regions are beautiful and offer a lot to do, but the question is really what type of scene are you looking for? If you want lazy beach days, relaxing nights and cute/quaint villages, stay southern Spain near Marbella/Tormellinos. if you're looking for a little more action in the nighttime, San Sebastian is a great option.
