My college sorority sister has asked me to participate in her THIRD wedding as a bridesmaid!!! We haven’t spoken much over the years so I feel that she is only asking me because there is no one else. How can I politely tell her I’m not interested?

I can’t think of a polite way to tell someone you don’t want to be in their wedding. Your only out, is to not attend at all. Do you really want to attend the wedding? Is it out of state?

I don't really care to attend the wedding. The bride was acting a little stuck up last time I saw her and she didn't attend my birthday party. Yes, it's out of state.

Explain to her that the expenses and distance are too much for you to incur at this time. Or tell her you have another engagement you have to attend in your home town so you will not be able to make it to her wedding...
